![]() But some of the elements just feel very wobbly even by that. I've seen some reviewers describe it as being a much more traditional 3 map roguelike compared to the first one, and that's certainly true. ![]() That's all neat.īut the rest of the campaign mechanics feel kinda undercooked. The synergies are still good and fun to figure out between classes, unlocking different builds is fun, I generally like the different talent trees and how you can "spec" your classes for different roles more readily. Once I got a sense of what all the various tokens meant (most of which are carryovers from the first game, or close to), it was easy to get into the swing of things. The lack of whiffs removes a major frustration factor from the first game, while the fights still feel tense and dangerous. On the positive side, the actual combats feel smoother and better tuned. But mostly, it just makes want to play DD1 again, which just felt better overall. In a few ways I'd say its got some small improvements over the first. So I've put in a few hours on this now and, hrm.I dunno.
